Zygmunt Tadeusz Bujnowski's oil painting entitled "Old Synagogue in Tykocin", painted on plywood. The piece was created in 1926, a year before the author's death. Painted with broad brushstrokes, it is dominated by dark tones. It mostly includes greys and browns interspersed with white patches of snow. A handwritten note by the author in the upper right corner reads: "Old Synagogue in Tykocin from the 16th century Zych Bujnowski". The artwork was donated to the museum by the painter's widow in 1959.
