During her stay in Great Britain, Halina would send out letters in the search for her brother. As Jerzy Olszewicki remembered years later: 'I did not find my sister until 1946, in England, in the Polish Army [...]. For the rest of the family, parents, brother, uncles, aunts, cousins...
