Passport documents of Josek Lender

A fourteen-page set of documents produced as a result of the proceedings in the case involving the issue of an identity card (ID) to Josek Lender. The set includes documents issued by the Olkusz County Office as well as officials from the local city council. They contain, among other things, detailed personal information of the applicant, such as date of birth, place of residence, occupation, origin, religion, etc. Joska Lender, born on 20 June 1864, in Olkusz, was a city councilor and owner of an aluminum goods factory. He lived in a tenement house at the Market Square and later on 3 Maja Street (ul. 3 Maja). During the war, he was relocated to the ghetto in Sosnowiec (in the Środula district). On 1 July 1943, due to his inability to march because of old age, he was shot by the Germans.
