Marta Olchawa – dziewczynka uratowana z getta lwowskiego

Photo of Marta Olchawa (born Bauer) on the day of First Communion. The girl is wearing all white clothes – a pleated dress decorated with pinned plants, with long sleeves and a collar, gloves, tights, and shoes. She has a cross pendant on her neck and a flower wreath with a long veil on her head. She has her long hair down. The girl is kneeling on a hassock with her hands put together. Visible on the left is a table. Standing on it is a vase with lilies, with a memento from the ceremony placed against it. A bouquet of roses is lying on the lower shelf of the table. The photo has toothed edges, with a white rim running along each side (wider at the bottom edge). The reverse is blank. | Text by Monika Harchut
