Photograph of a bust of a woman in a striped dress, from page 12r of the Garnek family album

Portrait – three-quarter bust – of a woman, smiling lightly, in a typically Art Nouveau high hairstyle – with her hair curled and pinned up; she may (though this is doubtful) be wearing a wig. She is wearing a striped dress, finished with guipure lace at the neckline, turning into a two-colour stand-up collar, with puffy sleeves. The photograph was inserted in the lower right-hand window on the recto side of page 12, next to a series of photographs of a man in uniform; perhaps the woman was his wife. Dating based on information about the operation of the studio on Miodowa Street (the place changed address after 1910).
