Photograph of Helena and Leon Leipziger in a car

The wealth and social position of the Leipzigers was undoubtedly evidenced by the car they owned. The photograph commemorates one of the out-of-town trips they took with friends. Behind the wheel sits Leon Leipziger, next to him his wife Helena. In the back seat, two women, unknown by name, and a man. Everyone is smiling, gazing at the camera, dressed in light, airy outfits. Helena is wearing a fine checked jacket and the same blouse with a large white collar. The men are wearing blazers and polo shirts. In the background you can see two single-storey buildings, a section of the fence and the trees growing behind it. On the reverse of the photograph is a handwritten, partly illegible inscription in pencil: “I will always miss you, I will never [...]. Then I will experience happiness [...] we will be together. […]”. The photograph is a horizontal rectangle with serrated edges. It was made in black and white.
