Photograph of Józef, Stanisław and Franciszka Mamelok

The souvenir of the Mamelok siblings' (sitting Stanislaw and Franciszka, behind them stands Joseph Mamelok) trip to the United States, during which they probably saw Niagara. We know nothing about this trip. It is a cabinet photograph, which is visible in the line of the water's edge near the stones on which the portrayed are sitting; see the description of a similar photograph from the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in which a group of people are also sitting against the background of a representation of waterfalls from vantage points inaccessible to tourists. The photograph has been cropped, presumably to fit the frame.
