The photograph shows a young man, a woman and a middle-aged man – the latter is known from other photographs, he certainly belonged to the Garnek family, we know not only his surname but also the first letter of his first name: M. He is dressed in a dark coat, face shown in three-quarter view, beard. His left arm is hanging loosely along the body, the hand with the fingers bent inwards, therefore not fully visible. The woman standing next to him is dressed in a dark dress revealing her neck, her hair with a parting in the middle is gathered back, her hands tucked behind her. The young man standing on the left has wavy hair separated by a middle parting. His right hand is in his trouser pocket. Underneath the dark jacket, he is wearing a dark waistcoat with a light, delicate pattern (small dots). His white collared shirt is decorated with a dark bow tie. The group was photographed against a mock-up of a window with a curtain (on the left). Visible floorboards. The photograph is overexposed in the upper left corner. Straight edges. The photograph can be dated by comparing it with other photographs in the collection, especially the opening photograph from 1910, in which M. Garnek is depicted with his wife and a little girl, presumably his daughter – the man in this photograph is of a similar age to the one in the other photograph. It can also be assumed that this photograph was taken in Łódź, where M. Garnek lived with his family. We do not know the relationship between him and the other people photographed, but the woman seems close to him, as indicated by her position: she is standing very close to M. Garnek, and is gently turned towards him.
