Photograph from the official ceremony in Zawiercie

The photograph from an official ceremony in Zawiercie. In the middle, between firemen - Józef Mamelok with his daughter, Magdalena (indicated on the obverse also with an arrow in pencil). On the reverse, signed by Magda Mamelok's hand: "Perhaps the inscription is not connected with the photograph in which Halina Mamelokowa, née Baruch, is not present. | The signature by Agnieszka Wróblewsk: "Uncle Józio - director of the steelworks in Zawiercie - in the middle with Magda" - is not accurate, Mamelok was not the director of the steelworks, but a representative or sales director of various industrial enterprises in Zawiercie. Two characteristic buildings visible in the background have survived to the present day - a simple brick building of the barracks and a little further to the right a neo-Gothic People's House, whose construction was co-initiated by Stanisław Szymański, the director of the Zawiercie Joint-Stock Society (the People's House was located within the TAZ estate; see the photograph of Szymański's villa from this estate MPOLIN-A25.1.41). The photograph was taken from the side of the then Fabryczna Forest, the place on the photograph is the area of the present intersection of Stanisława Moniuszki and Mieczysław Niedziałkowskiego Streets (from Moniuszki towards Niedziałkowskiego; perhaps in the place of the block of flats at 4 Moniuszki Street standing here today).
