Photograph showing a woman between tree trunks and a man standing in front of her

An outdoor photograph of a woman between tree trunks and a man in front of her, wearing a white shirt and holding a flower or twig in his hand (full-body, straight-on shot). The woman is probably the same person who can be seen in the MPOLIN-M48.1.19 photo in the collection. The date is determined based on the caption on the reverse, indicating Pentecost 1931 as the day the photograph was taken. This holiday became official in 1931, it was celebrated as a "folk holiday" for the first time (the celebration was combined with folk rallies, see, e.g., "Ruch ludowy na Lubelszczyźnie. Materiały sesji naukowej, zorganizowanej przez WK ZSL w Lublinie”, Lublin 1965, p. 107; see, e.g. Jan Madejczyk, "Wspomnienia", Warszawa 1965, p. 186). The photograph is faded, the image is slightly crooked, there are development defects in the lower part of the photo. Edge corners slightly rounded. The development defects are similar to those in other photographs in the collection from the "Miller" atelier.
