Photograph of Teodor Bok

part of the collection

This photo of Teodor Bok coming out of the Garma Ciega cave in the Cantabrian Mountains in northern Spain was taken during the Spain 75 expedition organised by the Speleoklub Warszawski PTTK in 1975. After returning from the expedition, during which he shared a tent with Wojciech Przybyszewski, Bok wrote to his friend: "Wojteczek, all that Spain was a heck of a great experience for me. Actually, it's no use dilating. We have to do this again. Fortunately, I can sculpt, otherwise I'd most likely go crazy after all this in cold Copenhagen" (Letter from Teodor Bok to Danuta and Wojciech Przybyszewski, typescript, probably from November 1975, according to the donor).

Donated by Wojciech Przybyszewski, who took this photo in August 1975.
