Photograph of a woman with a fox shawl from page 15r of the Garnek family album

The photograph shows a gently smiling, elegantly dressed woman in a light-coloured hat. A scarf made of fox skin is worn over a dark, knee-length coat. The woman is wearing a long string of pearls which is visible from under the coat unbuttoned at the top. The woman is holding a fox with her left hand, and in her right hand she has a bag with an oval pattern and gloves (?). At the bottom, a dark skirt protrudes from under the coat, decorated at the hem with a pattern of light-coloured transverse stripes of unequal length. Black, shiny heeled shoes. Cabinet card background, probably a curtain, depicting, on the right, a large window overlooking a road (?). A patterned rug or carpet on the floor. There are dark marks at the edges on the reverse where the photograph was glued to a dark card – perhaps it was previously in another album.
