Stamp of the Maccabi organisation (Clubs of the World Union of Jewish Gymnastic and Sports Associations "Maccabi", see https://sztetl.org.pl/pl/slownik/makabi). The organisation, through the reference in its name to the history of ancient Israel (specifically to Judah Maccabee) and the nature of its activities (a sports club), was closely linked to the Zionist movement. In 1933, it was the organiser of the worldwide Winter Maccabiah Games in Zakopane (see https://sztetl.org.pl/pl/miejscowosci/z/662-zakopane/104-teksty-i-wywiady/192169-pierwsza-zimowa-makabiada-w-zakopanem; the Maccabiah Games were the Jewish Olympic Games first held in 1932 in Tel Aviv). The club also organised numerous sporting events, parades, instructor training courses, and camps for children. It had its own libraries, choirs, orchestras and a fund for Palestinian settlements.
