The diploma is folded and housed in a black leather folder. The card is printed on one side with affixed paper seal, next to which there are three handwritten signatures. In the upper left corner, there is an Austrian stamp duty stamp and a circular stamp. On the reverse, "Dr Katz" iswritten in pencil. | The diploma was awarded on the basis of the thesis "Thomas Carlyle und die romantische Staatswissenschaft in Deutschland. Eine Gegenüberstellung'. | The examination committee consisted of University Rector Hans Uebersberger, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy Richard Meister and supervisor Karl Faber.
