Portrait photo of Regina Bauer (née Sold) – the aunt of Marta Olchawa (born Bauer). The woman is wearing a white blouse with a bow at the neck and a light-coloured jacket. She has wavy hair, pinned on the back of her head. On the reverse of the photo, there is a dedication handwritten in black marker: “For my beloved Martusia | as a memento | from your aunt Gina | 8 Apr [19]50”. The photo has a white rim running along each side (wider at the bottom edge).

Regina Bauer (née Sold) was the wife of Artur Bauer – brother of Izydor Marek Bauer, Marta Olchawa’s (born Bauer) father. Regina and her husband migrated to Palestine before the war. | Text by Monika Harchut
