Portrait photograph of the Aronson family

A portrait photograph of the Aronson family - Waldemar and Helena Aronson with their children, Janina and Stanisław. It was taken at a photography studio in Lwów during World War II, in the early 1940s.

The women are seated in the front row – from the left: Janina Aronson (daughter), Helena Aronson (mother). Standing behind them are the men – from the left: Waldemar Aronson (father) and Stanisław Aronson (son). Everyone is elegantly dressed.

On the reverse side of the photograph is a handwritten dedication in black marker, reading:

“In remembrance | to dear […] | Mr. Aron[…]”

Also written in pencil are the date and place the photo was taken:

"1940–41

 in Lwów".

The photo has a white border along all edges, which are scalloped.
