Portrait Photograph of Helena Rubinstein

A portrait photograph of Helena Rubinstein in a half-length shot, likely taken in the 1920s at the Lipnitzki Studio in Paris. The woman is dressed in an elegant white sleeveless blouse with a large V-shaped neckline, adorned with decorative buttons. Her neck is adorned with a double short strand of coral beads. She is standing, leaning her elbows on a table, with her intertwined hands raised. Her right wrist is decorated with her signature oversized jewellery - two large bracelets and, on her ring finger, a ring. Her face is gently turned in a left half-profile towards the camera.

The photograph is mounted on a cardboard backing with a white border around each edge. Portraits of Helena Rubinstein were often retouched, and this image is an example of that. Around the photograph, on the cardboard, are handwritten notes with instructions for publishing the image. On the back, there is a handwritten inscription with the name and details of the photographic studio - "STUDIO LIPNITZKI | 109 F ST-HONORE PARIS | TEL: ELYSEES 13-55 | 8376-6", along with other pencil markings.
