Portrait photograph of M. Garnek's (?) wife from page 7r of the Garnek family album

Photograph of a round-faced woman in a three-quarter view, with her hair covering her ears; skin is visible at the roots of her hair, which means the woman is not wearing a wig. The woman is dressed in a patterned blouse with a large neckline. Given the context – the placement of the photograph next to that of M. Garnek – it can be persumed, although this is only a guess based on the placement of the photograph, that this is his wife, perhaps she is also the one visible in the MPOLIN-A58.1.1 photograph. The portrayed woman in that photograph, however, is wearing a wig, as dictated by Jewish tradition. If both of these photographs depict the same person (it is difficult to say this conclusively, also due to the fact that they portray a woman at different stages of life), they may indicate the secularisation of the family.
