The image of a legionnaire leaning on a rifle, wearing a Maciejówka (Maciejówka) coat and a map-case on his chest was taken in Volhynia on the Garbach River, flowing from Wolczecko towards Kostiuchnówka. One of the few photographs of Gottlieb from the legionary period shows him during a portrait session with Lieutenant Stanisław Kruk-Schuster (1890-1945), surrounded by legionnaire non commissioned officers???| AT
