Sabbath candle holders

Classicistic silver candle holders from the collection of the Regional Museum in Pińczów. They are shaped like columns and supported by four curved rocaille-style legs, on a four-sided pedestal. The sides of the pedestal are decorated with symmetrical wreaths with bows. The broad bottom of the base is decorated with four convex, polished discs with floral garlands beside them. The pedestal is crowned with a cornice of stylised leaves, with two bunches of grapes in the central section on each side. Pedestal in the form of a tall cup on a stem. Three garlands on each side at the bottom, floral motifs at the top. Crowned by a smaller cup on a delicate stem, decorated with floral ornaments and with a candle hole at the top. The hallmark is barely legible, most likely the initials "M R".
