The set of 3 ribbons

The mementoes of Henryk Rozental. The presented set of badges (just like the previous one) is made of strips of synthetic fabric (most probably synthetic silk), which were covered with a narrow strip of cardboard. Fragments of the fabric were edged with coloured synthetic thread (grosgrain weave). Three strips of fabric (3 ambulances) were hand-sewn together. On one of the sides (verso) there is also a handwritten stitch connecting longer edges of the strips with each other in order to keep it on the cardboard. The pattern shown on each of the ribbons is arranged in vertical stripes of different colours and widths. The first of the ribbons is yellow with a wider red stripe down the middle and two narrow stripes on its sides. On the left it is blue, on the right navy blue. The beret corresponds to the Star of Africa. The next badge is light green with an orange stripe in the centre and two thin black stripes in the centre of each green stripe. It corresponds to the Defence Medal. The last ribbon consists of 7 coloured stripes: red, dark blue, narrow red (middle), white. It is the ribbon for the 1939-1945 War Medal. All of the above decorations are awarded by the British authorities. They allow us to trace the war history of Henry Rozental. The ribbon corresponding to the Star of Africa confirms that Henryk Roznetal reached England (from where he was sent for flight training to Canada and the United States) while walking with General Anders's troops through Africa. The fawn yellow stripe on the ribbon represents the sand of the desert (dark blue for the Royal Navy, red for the British Army and light blue for the Royal Air Force). He most likely served in the infantry at that time, as evidenced by the ribbon corresponding to the Army Medal, which was awarded to the Land Forces.
