After being resettled from Kołomyja to the territory within the new Polish borders as part of the repatriation campaign (https://sztetl.org.pl/en/glossary/repatriacja-polakow-z-zsrr), Marceli Najder started working in a pharmacy in Izbica. Later, the family moved to Bolesławiec, where Marceli took the position of pharmacy manager. Some of the elements of the equipment from that post-German facility became so valuable to the family of pharmacists that they brought them to their subsequent places of residence (Zielona Góra, Warsaw); finally, they were donated to the POLIN Museum collection by their son, Tomasz. These items include a set of 10 Prussian bucket weights made of brass. Their form resembles a cup, which makes it possible to add more weights by putting together “cups” of different sizes (the weight of each of them is embossed on the bottom), so that they reach a total weight of 500 grammes.
