It is part of the collection

Photograph of a fair-haired woman from the series "Warsaw Portraits". The portrayed woman, looking boldly into the camera, tells the viewer how important her Jewish identity is to her – this can be seen through the chain with the Star of David hanging around her neck and the form of her name. Both are an unequivocal declaration of belonging to the Jewish community, while at the same time, as Iwona Kurz writes in the catalogue of the exhibition "Obecność/brak/ślady” (Presence/Absence/Traces), where the whole series was presented, they encourage reflection: " ... what it means to be a Jew in Poland, whether one is a Polish Jew or a Pole of Jewish descent or something else – and whether similar distinctions are needed or necessary at all".
