Ślub w rodzinie Solicht (Chasydów Toldos Aharon Yitzchock), Petach Tikwa

The photograph shows a bride from the Solicht family during a wedding ceremony held in Petah Tikva, Israel. The woman was captured while praying. A Hasidic wedding consists of many parts and rites, accompanied by the recitation of numerous blessings. During these, men and women spend time separately, often in separate spaces. The girl sits on an ornate chair in the form of a throne, which is a wedding custom, with guests, family and friends approaching her with their greetings, while songs are sung for the groom or the contents of the Torah are invoked.

Other photographs from this wedding: MPOLIN-M1523, MPOLIN-M1558, MPOLIN-M1559, MPOLIN-M1560, MPOLIN-M1561.
