The silver snuff box is in the form of a rectangular box closed with a latch. The hinged lid and walls are decorated with an engraved stylised floral pattern. There are hallmarks on the bottom: "A R" and a woman's head. The same hallmarks are placed at the latch. Inside the snuff box, the lid bears an inscription engraved in Hebrew italics: "Szlomo ben Riwka Chana/ Miriam bat Gitl/ Eliezer Jaakow ben Miriam" ("Szlomo, the son of Riwka Chana/ Miriam, the daughter of Gitl/ Eliezer Jaakow, the son of Miriam"). It is possible that the inscription was engraved as someone was going to give this snuff box to someone else as a gift.

The item was purchased from a resident of Lublin for the collection of the Lublin Open Air Village Museum in 2006.
