Produced in the 1930s, the Agfa Cadet still camera is an example of a box camera which, although not advanced technologically, became extremely important in the history of photography. Unlike in the previous types, it was enough to load a film roll and press the shutter button to take a picture. Thanks to simple operation, ease of transport and accessibility, box cameras have contributed to a significant development of amateur photography. Most likely, the Agfa Cadet camera owned by Marceli Najder also encouraged the young Zionist and pharmacy student to develop his own photographic passion and related skills, thanks to which we can now enjoy the numerous preserved photos of his authorship.
