Studio photograph of Anna Hochsinger

The photographs of the Hochsinger family members donated to the POLIN Museum by Yael Rosner might have belonged to her aunt Anna Hochsinger (Zimmermann), the sister of Natalia Zajczyk. She probably took some of them with her when she left for Palestine with her husband and son in 1927, others were sent to her by her family that stayed in Warsaw. In this photo, Anna is about 13 years old, wearing a school apron (the so-called cross-back), holding a notebook in her hand. She wears her hair parted in the middle, combed smoothly and probably braided. | Renata Piątkowska
