Torah pointer

Travel Torah pointer (Hebrew: yad) from the collection of the Regional Museum in Pińczów. An inscription in Hebrew is visible at the top of the handle: "Shaddai", the Almighty. The pointer has a small hole at one end for a chain, which has not survived. There is a weave at the bottom above the hand. The yad is in poor condition, with a fracture in the central, narrowest part.

The item was purchased for the collection of the Regional Museum in Pińczów, and the bidder claimed it came from Pińczów.
