Torah pointer

Pointer finished with a full-round representation of a right hand with extended index finger, issuing from a cuff decorated with thin silver wire on the edges. The index finger bears a ring with a small red gemstone. The shaft of the pointer has a circular cross-section and narrows upwards. The middle of the shaft and its bottom are decorated with half-openwork ornaments in a shape resembling a ball. The top of the shaft is adorned with a Star of David; in its centre, there is a polished round red gemstone. A round chain hoop is welded to the tip of the star.

The item was purchased for the collection of the National Museum of Przemyśl from the local branch of the Desa enterprise in 2003.
