The Triumph of an Idea

It is part of the collection

The English-language book, The Triumph of an Idea, from the late 1929–1930 period, focuses on the business activities of the Helena Rubinstein Inc. cosmetics company. It serves as a kind of report, summarising the ongoing work and offering commercial promises for the upcoming year of 1930.

The book has a thick cover in black and red, with a burgundy spine finish. The title on the front cover is written on a red background in black lettering (near the bottom edge). The book contains twenty-four pages (excluding the cover), bound together by three metal rivets.

On the second page, there is a portrait photograph of Helena Rubinstein (bust shot), assigned the title Madame Helena Rubinstein. The photo was likely taken in the earlier years and has been retouched. In addition to the portrait, the book features twelve inserts, including collages of magazine covers which wrote about the company, advertising articles and prints of photographs showcasing the company's products, along with pricelists.
