Typewriter with Hebrew fonts

Underwood Standard typewriter manufactured in the United States and sold by the Polish representative in Warsaw, G. Gerlach, 4 Ossolińskich Street.

In 2015, the object was donated to the "Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre" Centre in Lublin by siblings Irena, Michał and Józef Hochman, who emigrated from Lublin to the United States in 1968. One of the things they took with them then was a typewriter with Hebrew fonts. Their father bought it after the war, having obtained information from the seller that the typewriter came from the editorial office of the Yiddish newspaper "Lubliner Tugblat", which was located at 13 Królewska Street in Lublin.
