Untitled

Królikiewicz, Anna (1970-)

A photograph showing a close-up of one part of an art installation by Anna Królikiewicz – the 'Diaspora' table. According to the author's description: "Table II (Diaspora) has a cylindrical form in which colourful seeds – beans, lentils, grain, peas and spices – swirl and blend. It symbolises, on the one hand, the locality of Jewish cuisine in the Diaspora – its roots in the fruits of the earth and climate, and on the other – its constant movement, openness and exchange". This is one of two, along with MPOLN-M1355, shots of the same object.
