Róża Ziątek-Czarnota was born in Warsaw. Her mother is Bella Szwarcman-Czarnota, who comes from a Jewish family with musical traditions. Róża was one of the first five children to attend the Lauder-Morasha Jewish kindergarten in Warsaw, which opened at the time. She graduated from a music school and the 1st Secondary School Bednarska. She then completed her master's degree in music as well as postgraduate studies. In her childhood, she regularly attended camps organised by the Lauder Foundation and the Social-Cultural Association of Polish Jews (TSKŻ).
