The comic strip - ink drawings under watercolour - depicting the story of Adam Czerniakow (1880-1942) as the chairman of Warsaw Judenrat, who committed suicide on 23 July 1942 in the face of the massive ghetto liquidation campaign launched by the Germans. The main (title) thread of the story is a diary kept by Czerniakow.

The strip consists of 13 frames - 5 on the left side, 7 on the right side, with narrative captions in French (ink; some corrections, working notes - in pencil).

In upper left corner in pencil: 43 in oval.
