Ewelina Cześnik was born in 1946, her family originally coming from Warsaw. Her father, who passed away in 1964, fought in the Warsaw Uprising. After the war, Ewelina's family, including her older brother and extended family, moved to Olsztyn, where Ewelina became close friends with the Pisiuk family. In 1951, they returned to Warsaw and settled in Żoliborz.
Ewelina attended the Stefania Sempołowska School and later the Joachim Lelewel Lyceum. She then pursued studies in zootechnics in Olsztyn. Ewelina has a son, who is a sociologist and teaches at the SWPS University.
