Group photograph of the Lower Silesian textile manufacture community

The photograph shows twenty women, dressed in dark clothing - including work uniforms - and against a dark curtain, in three rows (two rows: standing, one: seated). The photograph was given to Abram Kacman, who can be seen among the photographed (second from the right in the lowest row).

Before the war, Abram Kacman was an activist of the tricot workers' union, and after the war he got involved in the activity of the Organisation for the Development of Industrial, Craft and Agricultural Creativity among Jewish People in Poland (ORT): he established knitting cooperatives and trained Jewish women returning from the USSR to work in them.
