Objects

The illustration depicts one of the scenes described by Hanna Krall in the book "Tam już nie ma żadnej rzeki" (Kraków 1998), where the residents of post-war Muranów are haunted by the spirits of Jews who died during the Holocaust: "The spirits took a liking to the new residents on Andersa Street (ul. Andersa): an older couple, a tailor and a merchant. Their block was built after the war, on the ruins of a corner tenement. They felt someone's presence a few years ago." MBK
