The drawing depicts a scene of the rape of a Jewish woman by a Nazi soldier; in the background, an eyewitness to the crime can be seen hiding behind a gate. It is one of the scenes of overt violence against the Jewish population, including sexual violence against women, which occurred constantly during the German occupation. MBK
