Jaśmina Wójcik, "It could also happen now"

The drawing is an illustration of a story described in Hanna Krall's book "Hipnoza" (Warsaw 1989), in which a tzadik inherits a clock made by a clockmaker from Proskurów. The craftsman's fiancée died. In despair, he enchanted her voice in the sound of the clock. The tzadik was distracted by the sound and pulled away from his pious reflections, as it carried a beautiful tale of love. MBK
