Keret’s House

Vaucher, Fanny (1980- )

It is part of the collection:

The comic representation of Keret's House (top frame), an extremely narrow space built in 2012 in the gap between Warsaw buildings at 74 Żelazna and 22 Chłodna Streets in Warsaw - the result of an artistic, architectural project by Jakub Szczęsny. The controversial installation, which has become the subject of debate both architecturally and in relation to the history of Polish Jews (its location near the bridge-ridge connecting the so-called large ghetto with the so-called small ghetto; the cramped space also evokes the fate of the family of Israeli writer Edgar Keret, who was in hiding during the war), has become a residence centre for artists of various disciplines from all over the world.

In the lower part of the card there is a strictly comic strip drawing: conversations ("balloons") between a woman (the author, Fanny Vaucher) and a man (Przemek from Warsaw).

Ink drawing in watercolour, with the French text of the narrative written in ink over the frames showing the blocks and Keret's house.

In the lower right corner: fanny_vaucher is signed
