One of 5 black and white videos with sound in the style of old cinema, included in the work "Szukaliśmy w popiołach”. This work was created with the use of archaeological objects from the collection of the POLIN Museum. The video shows a damaged, rusted, incomplete kettle, in the kitchen, on top of a contemporary cooking machine. The video present the activities for which the kettle was designed, such as pouring water into it, putting it on a cooker or the process of boiling water. Sounds imitating the sounds of subsequent parts emphasise the message. The same kettle is shown in the photograph included in this set (MPOLIN-M1382/2).
