"Równe, 10.4.41.
My very, very dear Marychna!
It's been quite a while since I've heard from you - I'm worried, love. Write quickly. Do you feel[,] that I think of you? How are you doing? How are Mum, Father, Terenia, the little ones? And you, dear? We fare pretty well. Spring is so beautiful. We are learning well. Lately I have learned to work systematically, I have mastered a bit. I don't worry about silly things. I don't want to squander my feelings in vain. I'm more confident at the same time and I think it makes me feel better at least. I am not friends with anyone, even though I am very cordial with everyone. Jola is now running around outside all the time. She is a very sweet, cuddly girl. She has grown up tremendously. Imagine, Mary, that I learning to ride a bike! Are you getting the news from Gdynia. You know, I'm sad without the sea. Greetings to your loved ones [from me].
Lots of kisses, your Baś
