"Równe, 16th December 42.
Dear Marylka,
Forgive me for writing on a postcard[,] but I really don't have the time or the mind for a letter. Recently I have had a lot of unpleasantness, similar to Baśka's case[,] only based on a different background. It's not all over yet[,] but I think it will go well. This is the first time something like this has happened to me in my life and that's why I feel terrible. I've been walking around for days angry, and worried, thinking about nothing. I think you understand me. This letter[,] or rather a postcard is terribly written, but forgive me, I cannot think calmly (everywhere[,] what to think)[.] I will try to get it all sorted out as soon as possible [2nd page] and then I will write you a letter. I will describe myself and my affairs. I intend to send you a photograph, but only after Christmas. But, about the holidays. I send you my warmest Christmas wishes. I wish you everything you desire. The wishes are for you and your family. I think[,] that they will accept them [from me,] even though they don't know me at all. You know, next month I'll probably go to Warsaw and maybe stop in Lublin on the way. I will visit you. If this won't be inconvenient, that is.
Bye[,] kisses from the bottom of my heart, Wiśka.
