My Dear Mary!
Forgive me for not writing back [immediately] to you, but we've had such an insane amount of work with the final finishing touches on the camp that even if I stood on my head[,] I wouldn't have had time to write. The town of Kosów itself – nothing special, but the surrounding area [–] is something marvellous. Last Wednesday we were on Michałków, the highest peak in the Kosów area. It (this Michałków) has an elevation of 900 m. The view unfolding at my feet was beautiful. Yesterday we were to see the famous Dr Tarnawski's thinning spa, both for ladies[,] and for gentlemen. We were received by his wife, a great local philanthropist and an insanely nice person. She welcomed us with an afternoon tea, I tell you[,] a delicacy. Strawberries, currants, cakes, coffee, etc. But that's not what I wanted to write to you about, Marylka. I am so madly sad. I haven't received any letter yet, no card[,] absolutely nothing. And that is why I am asking you to write at least a word...

Mary! Forgive me for writing in bits, but... just as I was finishing writing yesterday and complaining that I wasn't getting a letter, a parcel came to me from home[,] [on the 2nd page] in which there was a lot of letters! I will still admit to you[,] that the cakes that had been in that parcel are gone already (that's the kind of friends I have). I ask you very much, Mary[,] to greet Daddy and Mummy, to kiss Renia, Józio and Jędruś. And now bye-bye. Kisses, Bibi
