"Równe, 28.10.40
My dearest Marylka!
Again, a month goes by and again I write to you. I suppose I will soon [...] get a message from you. I received a card from Masza Wielbińska (Litzmannstadt cz. Aleksandrowo, Deutsches Reich, Fontanestr. 27/18. Danuta Wielbińska). I also gave her your address. How are you, sweet Mary, how are the Parents, Terenia, the little ones? I was ill for a full two weeks: flu with complications and a leg sprain. Everything is fine now, but for a change Jola is lying in bed. Probably also a flu. The parents are healthy, greetings to you all. I study a lot, I am president of the all-school Red Cross and of the Polish language and drama club. I am now undergoing v. interesting sanitation training. I am in a state of silent war with my class: for I defend my beliefs openly, and our class is not very friendly. Write Mary, I will also write soon. Give my love to the Parents, kisses to Renia and the boys (from Jola too).
Lots of kisses, Baśka.
