My Dear! I asked at the Ministry of the Interior yesterday. There's no trace of your letter. You must inquire at the Genev.[?] Consulate under what number, to where and when it was addressed, so that it can be found here. It's a pity that it took you so long to address this matter. It's always better in these cases to initiate efforts in advance. You already have the foreign exchange permit for [“]Gł[os] Gosp[odarczy][”] (the “Economic Voice”), and I'll forward you 150 zlotys tomorrow. Are you writing to other newspapers? If not, you should definitely take care of that. The [“]Bank[”] [a Warsaw monthly “devoted to banking and financial issues”], the [“]Chwila[”] (the “Moment”) [a Zionist-oriented journal published in Lviv], I think would be happy to print your articles. You need to earn more if you treat journalism as a professional income, and you also need to take precautions, because Gł. Gosp. may end up failing in the long run. I send you my warmest greetings and look forward to hearing from you.

Leon

[At the top of the next page a note, also in the father's handwriting:] You need to send in an application for an extension of leave at the Bar Council.

Dear Tadziulek!

Why do you write so sparsely about yourself? Things are going on as usual here, card evenings have started at stow.[?], where we're frittering away the family fortune, in [...]. I'm glad you're going to get yourself some clothes - have you done anything about that yet? You must've received the chocolate and caramel candy through Jadzia's friends! This week I'll send you [...]. Love

Melcia.

[address on the right:] Mr | Tadeusz Perl | Paris VI | 22, rue de St. Sulpice | Hotel Riviera
