Military transport bag

Light-coloured (originally white?) linen military bag of the soldier of the Polish Army in the East Nikodem Zylberminec (1900-1963; after the war, from 1949 he changed his surname to Bielski). After the war, Nikodem returned to Poland with this souvenir (he lived in Warsaw).

The bag is made of a strong, dense canvas with a classic weave (warp and weft at right angles). It is cylindrical in shape, the upper side of which is an opening with a cover, also of linen, made of the same material as the rest of the object. Along the edge of the hole are 12 holes with metal fittings. Visible signs of use: numerous folds (from folding), soiling, five longitudinal tears, all on the visible fold line extending the entire length of the bag. No cord.
