Photograph of two-year-old Kazimierz Baruch with Vazidsha Skublinska and two other children

A photo from summer holiday in Będzelin (about 30 km east of Łódź): three children standing in front of a veranda, holding hands, among them Kazimierz Baruch (dressed in white in the middle), and an elderly woman in a white apron over a dress standing on the right bending over them; the latter is described on the reverse as Vazidsza Skublinska. All of them look into the lens. The photo was probably taken during the same holidays as the other ones from Będzelin (items with subsequent numbers in the archival group).

On the reverse, a witty description by an unknown author: 'Skublinska with morally |neglected children.' Below this description, in a different handwriting: 'Bendzelin 1905/8.'; the same hand has added a reference to the surname and specified in a kind of footnote to the previous note: '*) Aunt Vazidsza | Stan E. [Stach.?] | Kazio Baruch | Zdziś Eiger[?].' If we read the third line from the bottom as 'Stach', it might indicate Stanisław Maybaum (Marzyński), son – a year junior to Kazimierz Baruch – of Stefania née Grossman and Józef Maybaum Grossman, see photo MPOLIN-A25.1.91 and the following.
