Letter to Boruch Spiegel

part of the collection

Letter to Spiegel from a Wyszogród Jew, Laib Frajdzinger (after the war he was one of the few Jews living in Wyszogród; a chairman of the 1946 Wyszogród Jewish Committee: https://sztetl.org.pl/pl/miejscowosci/w/363-wyszogrod/99-historia-spolecznosci/138284-historia-spolecznosci; in the 1980s he was the only one; Spiegel met him during his trip to Poland in 1983).

Letter written in Polish, annotation under signature, half a page, in Yiddish. Frajdzinger thanks for the letter and the $15 he received from Spiegel. He sympathises with Spiegel about his wife's illness and refers to the package proposal. He writes: “As for the parcel I didn't want to write, but if you can, don't forget about me, I'd like to ask you very much if you'd send something, the ones with whom I live and take care of me have two small children [...] if you can, send something, they're such nice children, they should be happy to receive a parcel. Once again please come and see me, I will be very glad that you remember me dear Sir”.
